Hi!
I'm a Cumbrian illustrator based in West Yorkshire. Before jumping into freelance illustration full-time, I ran a co-working studio for creatives in Cardiff for two years. After some twists and turns, I found myself amongst the Dales and some exciting and historic cities.
Science and history take up a lot of space in my mind, but I love learning how just about everything works! And all of that has a strong influence on what I create. When I’m not working on illustration projects, I’m probably tinkering with my quadcopter or remote-controlled planes – all of which I built myself! – or spending hours wandering through a forest.
I’d like to spark in others the same sense of wonder and joy of learning that I feel when finding out about new things. I want my work to answer questions – what might feathered dinosaurs have looked like? How does the Space Shuttle work? How do we make electricity? – while still leaving room for more inquiry.
